THE BASICS
Talk to us about where you’re from and what you do.
I’m from Miami and I’m a Creative Director/Designer for my own brand, TIGRA TIGRA, and for The Elder Statesman.
What are your kid(s) names and ages?
Domino, 7 & Zuzu, 6.
Can you walk us through a typical day for you and your family? (the morning routine, drop off, work, etc.)
We wake up and have breakfast together, get ready for school, they pick their own outfits and are very particular about their choices, then we do school drop off.
What’s the vibe post-bedtime? How do you end your day?
With a bath and a glass of wine usually.
Who or what is inspiring you?
My kids really inspire me, photo books, people watching.
What do you struggle with?
Balance.
What does YOU TIME look like? How do you find time to take care of yourself while raising a family?
I really love building artistic projects, creating characters - I also love traveling and hanging out with my friends and chatting, swimming, reading.
MOTHERHOOD
Looking back to your early days of motherhood or postpartum, what do you remember most about it? What stuck?
Being very tired all of the time and random napping.
What (if any) advice would you give yourself as a new mom?
Co-sleeping really worked for me.
What do you think is the one thing no one really tells (or warns) you about motherhood?
Everyone says this but you don’t really realize how fast and fleeting it goes by until you’re in it, really cherish the time you have together.
Which values or lessons are most important to you to pass onto your kid(s)?
Encouraging creativity, forming their own path, being kind to others.

How have you made your mom friends?
I don’t have many mom friends but I’ve met a couple now through school.
What does your ideal mom’s night out look like?
Being asleep by 9pm
STYLE
Do you have a uniform? If so, what does it consist of?
No, my style is so erratic.
Favorite shops? For yourself and your kids?
I buy mostly archival pieces or small designers, for my kids, I’ll make them some custom things from the companies I design for, or I buy them vintage things from eBay.
Best vacation spots with the family?
Asilah in Morocco, Kerala in India, and Coral Gables in Miami.
Where’d you go, what’d you do, where’d you stay?
Normally we rent houses to have more space and privacy.

Favorite recipe that your kids will actually eat?
Vegan chai breakfast cake. Recipe below!
INGREDIENTS
cake:
1.5 cups of flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1.5 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1 pinch ground cloves
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup almond milk
1/4 cup olive oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
frosting:
2 cans full fat coconut milk, chilled overnight
1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon orange zest
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
METHOD
preheat oven to 350 degrees f
grease a 9" pan
in a large bowl, whisk together the dry cake ingredients, then add in wet ingredients and mix together
pour batter into pan and bake for 30 minutes
let cool
for the frosting, use a hand mixer to beat the chilled coconut full fat milk - add in other ingredients, until whipped cream consistency
spread on top of cooled cake and slice and serve
